This is an art museum that permanently displays paintings by Ryohei Koiso, but you need to be careful. About once a year, there is a special exhibition different from Koiso's, and during this period you can only see about 40 of Koiso's paintings. I was caught off guard because it was labeled as the "Koiso Memorial Museum of Art." I really wanted to see Koiso's paintings, so I was disappointed. However, there is no doubt that it is a good museum, as the atelier has been relocated and there are explanations from the museum staff. Also, I would like to take revenge and re-evaluate.

This is one of the largest public museums dedicated to Ryohei Koiso, who was born in Kobe and spent his entire creative career in Kobe. Located at the north end of Rokko Island River Mall, you can enjoy meals and other services. The mochiron exhibits are also worth seeing! ️!! ️

I've heard about it twice in the past year. The first time was when there was an exhibition focusing on the connection with Iku Takenaka, but this time I stopped by as if I was there when there was an exhibition on Hide Kawanishi at the Kobe-related museum, which is also located on Rokko Island. . But this time, I preferred the exhibit at the Koiso Memorial Museum of Art, and I was moved by how amazing their friendship was. The egg sandwich was fluffy and delicious with pickles🫑 The second time was for the Higashinada Karuta Stamp Rally, the Real Mystery Game Museum, and the Mysterious Door. It was an exhibit by a manga artist I don't know (sorry), but it was fun and had content that made me want to read it. The stacked stamps were located just before the exit after all the exhibits were finished, and the mystery-solving game was inspired by the permanent part of Mr. Koiso's atelier. If you show the Hyogo e-Prefecture app, you can get a discount on the admission fee 😌

Right after getting off at Rokko Island Kitaguchi Station. It was empty even though it was a Sunday, probably because I had to transfer from Sannomiya (there was a bus from a nearby hotel to Sannomiya, so be prepared with ¥400 in change) and I was happy to have a leisurely look around. It's horizontal and there are more exhibits than I expected, so it will probably take you more than two hours to look at it carefully. There are many chairs in the building (I don't know because I don't use the restroom), but there are no stairs, making it barrier-free and wheelchair-friendly. However, the explanatory text is at the bottom, so if you are standing you will have to bend over to read it. Also, small fonts are difficult to read. I think it is a building that is quiet and calm and can be viewed as a whole. Ryohei Koiso's relocated atelier also looks nice.

Yasuko Aoike Exhibition 2023.7.15~9.24 (An exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the art career of a girl manga artist who has mainly drawn for Akita Shoten and Hakusensha magazines) Japanese girls' manga underwent a major transformation in the 1970s and 1980s. As evidenced by the numerous works created by the artists of the ``24 Year Class,'' represented by Moto Hagio, their painting materials and techniques were epoch-making, and they dealt with a variety of themes with bold precision. Of all the members of the 24-year class, Yasuko Aoike was the most unique and unique. I realized this once again when I looked at the art work this time.
